
Dr Brigita Séguis is an educational researcher, impact evaluator and learning and assessment specialist with extensive experience in designing, conducting and overseeing research and evaluation projects related to language assessment, education reform, bilingualism and multilingualism, language learning and digital innovations.
She has a background in linguistics and language acquisition. Her PhD thesis focused on language selection and switching in multilingual speakers, drawing on the interface between psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics.
Currently she oversees the delivery and implementation of impact evaluation projects at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. This includes identifying research opportunities, collaborating with educational institutions and government organisations, designing and commissioning impact evaluation studies and white papers, situational and policy analysis, data collection, providing mentoring and training, quality assurance, and dissemination of findings across a wide range of audiences and formats. She has conducted research projects in Japan, UAE, UK, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, France and Oman.
